Lord Howe Island General Practice supports the education and training of future healthcare professionals and may host medical and nursing students as part of their clinical placements. Students are an important part of developing the future healthcare workforce and can provide valuable support to patient care under appropriate supervision.
If a student is involved in your consultation, you will always be informed beforehand and you are welcome to decline their involvement at any time.
Visiting practitioners
Lord Howe Island General Practice regularly hosts visiting healthcare professionals, helping provide specialist and allied health services closer to home for our community.
Our visiting practitioners include Dr Greg Cranney (Cardiology), who has been visiting the island and supporting healthcare on Lord Howe Island for over 30 years, Dr Jemma Cranney (Geriatric Medicine), Dr Bruce Robinson (Endocrinology), and Max Webb (Optometry). We also host regular visiting dental services.
