RN Karen Giles

Karen is a Registered Nurse and Midwife with over 40 years of dedicated service the majority of which she has spent caring for unique and close-knit community of Lord Howe Island.

With extensive experience in remote area health, Karen has developed a broad and adaptable skill set, enabling her to deliver comprehensive care in setting where resources can be limited and challenges are unique. Her role has spanned emergency response, maternal and child health, chronic disease management and community health education.

Karen has a deep commitment to the wellbeing of every resident and visitor with competency and compassion and is proud to have cared for generations of families on the Island.
