Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our recent Patient Feedback Survey, carried in autumn this year. We received feedback from 30 patients, and we are very grateful for the honest comments, suggestions and ratings provided.
We were pleased that the overall feedback was very positive. The survey found that 98% of patient ratings about the practice were “Good”, “Very Good” or “Excellent”, with particularly strong results for making appointments, treatment by staff, respect shown to patients, and overall satisfaction with the practice.
Patients also made some very kind comments about the service, including feedback that the practice provides excellent care despite our remote location, and that the team has been “amazing” and “as good as you could want”.
The survey also helped us identify areas where we can improve. In response to your feedback, we are taking the following steps:
Waiting times
We know that waiting can be frustrating, particularly when appointments are delayed by urgent or emergency presentations. We will work on improving communication with patients when the doctor is running late or when emergency care affects appointment times. We ask for your understanding that with just a single doctor on the island, urgent issues must take priority over routine GP appointments.
Ways to provide feedback
We have improved and increased the ways that you can contact us to provide feedback or make a complaint. We have placed a feedback box in the waiting room, and we have added a feedback form on our website, as well as providing information on the other ways to contact us both on our website and in the practice pamphlet (paper copies available in the clinic) about how patients can provide feedback at any time.
Information about fees
We have updated our website with the latest information about our fees. Information about fees is also available in our practice pamphlet.
Your feedback is an important part of how we continue to improve the care and service we provide. Thank you again to everyone who contributed.
