RN Jo Sage
Jo trained at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town in 1990 – the site of the world’s first successful heart transplant.
She brings with her an extensive and diverse career in nursing, having worked across Australia and internationally. Jo is a highly experienced rural and remote nurse with a strong background in emergency care.
Her career has taken her to some of the world’s most challenging environments, including field work with the international aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières.
For the past three and a half years, Jo has proudly served as the clinic nurse on Lord Howe Island. She describes it as a privilege to be part of this close-knit community, where the role has allowed her to continue learning, growing, and contributing in meaningful ways.
